Format:                                              

54 Holes – Stroke Play Scratch.

 

Tees:

Championship Division will be playing from the WHITE TEES. 

Senior Division will be playing from a RED/WHITE Combo TEE. 

Yardage Information

 

Awards:                                             

Low Gross Championship Division: California Women’s Champion.

Low Gross Senior Division (age 50 and up):  California Women's Senior Champion.

Other players will be awarded within each division.

 

Tee Times:                    

Tee times will begin each day at 7:30AM, starting on Hole number 1 and Hole 10. 

Tee times and groupings will be posted on the Tournament Portal Friday, July 31, 2020 for Round 1.

Please be at your assigned tee 10 minutes prior to your starting time. 

 

Check-in/Information:                                             

Monday only, outside golf shop starting at 6:15 a.m.

Bag drop in front of clubhouse at valet parking if you are staying at resort; otherwise, bag drop at back entrance of golf shop (park in lower lot.)

 

Practice Round Information:            

Practice rounds are available for $79 on Saturday and Sunday 8/1-2 and Thursday 8/6.   Contact the golf shop for reservations.      

 

Carts:                                                    

Single-rider carts.  Players may walk.

The golf cart liability form must be submitted if you will be driving a cart. Enter 000 for the room number if you don't have one yet.

 

Caddies:                                               

No caddies allowed due to COVID-19 Guidelines

 

Spectators:                                           

Spectator carts are not allowed. Please walk on cart paths or in the rough, not on the fairway.

 

Practice Balls:                                    

Complimentary range balls prior to round.

 

Cancellations and No Shows:           

Please plan to compete in all three rounds.  Players who do not comply with this commitment will be ineligible for CWC in 2021.

Porterage Fee:  $10 per person per stay

Housekeeping Gratuity:  $3 per day

 

Rules of Play:

Prior to the first day of the event, you must make yourself familiar with the CWC Hard Card, and Pace of Play Policy.   It is the players responsibility to know the rules and the terms of the competition.

 

The following policies will be in effect at the California Women’s Championship August 3-5, 2020 and are subject to change based on current county and state guidelines.  Players failing to adhere to the following policies will be removed from the event and asked to leave the premises.

 

PLEASE REVIEW: COVID-19 TOURNAMENT SAFETY POLICIES

 

 

GENERAL SANITATION

  • Players must always maintain at least a six-foot distance minimum from other people while on property.
  • Masks/facial coverings must be worn as required by government guidelines when a six-foot distance cannot be met.
  • Masks may be taken off on the golf course for play.  Please practice social distancing of 6ft.
  • There will not be an awards ceremony.  Players are required to leave the scoring area as soon as possible after completing their round.  Results will be posted on the tournament portal.

 

SCHEDULE

  • Tee times will be issued starting at 7:30 AM in 10-minute intervals starting from Hole 1 and Hole 10. 
  • Proceed to your starting tee once the prior group has left the teeing area.  Be ready 10 minutes prior to your start time.  A tournament official will be at the teeing area to provide directions and answer questions while maintaining a 6 ft. social distancing.  Only one group is allowed at teeing area at a time.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING POLICIES FOR PRACTICE/WARM-UP

  • Practice range is set up for safe distancing.  Players are to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to starting time and are limited to 15 minutes at the range. Range balls are included.
  • Any stretching or other warm-up activities should be done beforehand away from the practice range.
  • The practice putting green is only available to players 10 minutes prior to their starting time.

STARTER INTERACTION AND MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION

There will not be any paper materials distributed on site.  Please use the portal to familiarize yourself with tournament information and print any necessary documents.  Click on the link to open and print.

 

  • Hand sanitizer will be made available at the starter tables on Hole 1 on Hole 10.

 

SCORING AND SCORECARD PROCEDURES

CWC will utilize mobile scoring and electronic scoring procedures.

  • In order to mobile score, players must download the GolfGenius or USGA TM app.
  • Golf Genius Live Scoring Tutorial
  • The group's GGID - which is the group specific code to enter mobile scores - will be made available in multiple places:
    • Available with the Starter
    • On the scorecard that will be emailed to the players.
  • At least one player in each group must enter scores using mobile scoring.
  • Each player in the group will be the marker for another player.
  • At the end of the round, all players in the group must confirm the hole-by-hole scores posted online are accurate using the Scorecard link in the app.
  • The scorecard is treated as officially returned and certified after the group has left the scoring area.
  • The scoring area for players finishing on Hole 9 will be at the practice area. For players finishing on Hole 18 the scoring are will be behind the green. 
  • There will be a Tournament Official available for any rules questions.

 

FLAGSTICK AND HOLE

  • Touching of the flagstick is prohibited. The following Code of Conduct provision is in effect for the CWC:

 

  • The flagstick must not be removed or deliberately touched by hand during the round, including with a gloved hand or a towel wrapped around the flagstick. Any player who deliberately ignores this code of conduct policy will be considered guilty of Serious Misconduct (see Rule 1.2b), the penalty for which is disqualification.
  • The hole has a foam insert that allows the ball to drop below the level of the putting green and you may retrieve it without touching the flagstick or the edge of the hole.

 

BUNKERS 

  • Rakes will be removed from the course. Players are encouraged to smooth the surface of the bunker with their foot or club before exiting the bunker.
  • Preferred Lies will be allowed in all Bunkers.
  • When a player’s ball lies in a bunker, the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:
    • Reference Point: Spot of the original ball
    • Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: One club-length from the reference point, but with these limits:
    • Limits on Location of Relief Area:
      • Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and
      • Must be in the same bunker.
